Spring is in the air!
Sunny, dry and warm-ish weather; just ideal for an early spring picknick
Whether it's a few quickly wrapped up sandwiches or a hamper filled with delicious bit-sized goodies, this weekend just screams picknick. Why not combine it with a walk?
Here are a couple of suggestions:
Short, flat and with plenty of places to lay down your picknick blanket: the Lovenarenbroek walk. 3,7km and doable with a stroller (also good for storing that hamper!). The starting point is parking 2 of the provinciaal domein in Kessel-Lo.
A bit longer: the 5-oaks walk. 8,7km but we counted at least 10 benches along the way. You can even buy take-away coffee or some pastries at the starting point (weekends only).
Or go the easy way: stay in the city, go on a photo hunt and pick up some take away en route. 3km, the text is in English.
