Training: First aid adults
Being able to provide help to anyone at any time is a powerful thing.
Did you know that cardiac arrest outside of the hospital affects over 300,000 people every year? With CPR (cardio-pulmonary resuscitation) and AED (automated external defibrillator) training, you can learn when – and how – to effectively implement the associated techniques. This training is developed and taught by experts from Rode Kruis Vlaanderen and delivers simple-to-use techniques and information that can help you save a life.
During this training you will learn to:
• Recognize and evaluate an emergency and a victim
• Be able to provide adult CPR to a non-breathing or injured person.
• Properly use an automated external defibrillator (AED)
Here's how it works: This three-hour training in English will be held at the International House Leuven and is given by a certified instructor of Rode Kruis Vlaanderen. You will receive a certificate at the end of the session.
For practical reasons the number of participants is limited to 15. A registration fee of 30 EUR applies to cover the cost of the training. Restitutions (minus the administrative cost of the event platform) are possible if requested before Monday 18 January at noon.
Coffee, tea and water will be provided.
Registrations can be done via our eventpage on EventBrite.
