Let's talk about burnout
This meetup is for anyone interested in burnout, whether suffering from it, recovering from it or starting to feel some of its symptoms.
Feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, burnt out? Having difficulty switching off and enjoying what used to be your daily activities? Difficulty managing stress and anxiety? Join our burnout meetup and let’s chat over a cup of coffee/tea.
You will have the opportunity to share your experiences and hear from other group members. Through sharing and listening, we will learn more about how others cope with their challenges as well as offer and receive encouragement. Hearing from others facing similar concerns and getting things off your chest can help ease your emotional burden and feelings of isolation. You are not alone.
You are very welcome to join even if you are unsure whether what you experience is a burnout or not.
There is no requirement to speak. You may not feel like sharing on the day and that’s ok. Listening is a great quality!
The session will be facilitated by an expat based in Leuven, who recently experienced burnout and is still in the recovery process. It does not intend to provide any medical advice or support from a health professional, but rather provides a respectful, safe and non-judgmental place where participants can share their experience and struggles with burnout, stress and/or anxiety.
This is a free meetup hosted by an International House volunteer, so please be respectful your registration (learn about why this event is free here). We welcome internationals and expats alike to join all of our events! The group size will be limited to 10 people (excluding the hosts).
