Dutch for Lunch
Are looking for a casual place to practice Dutch with other language learners? Drop by the International House on your lunch break for the second edition of Dutch for Lunch.
Have you ever had Dutch for lunch?
This is not yet another yummy Flemish specialty, but it is an opportunity to have your own lunch in the International House and practice your Dutch at the same time, how wonderful is that?
The International house will take care of the rest: coffee, tea, water and good mood. And of course, some Dutch. Every meet-up will revolve around a certain theme, that participants can discuss about and take a short look at vocabulary, expressions, and newspaper articles which are connected to the topic. Some nice and funny games will also be part of it. Any question about the language or difficulties you encounter are welcomed and we will try to solve it together.
The topic for this meet-up will be announced soon!
Requirements: Dutch level A2-B2
The International House is supporting a volunteer from the community for the organization of this meet-up. Please keep it a safe space.
About our volunteer Jasmina:
"I am a foreign languages aficionado and graduated linguist. After swallowing 5 levels of Dutch in one year in the ILT, I decided that it is time to share my passion of the language with all internationals like me who come to Leuven and need a safe space to practice their Dutch. I am happy to be part of this wonderful community and want to bring something back to it. Looking forward meeting everyone and have some fun!"
