Cooking Workshop: Homemade Pesto (1st ed.)
Homemade Pesto with a Local Twist! Join the International House for a community cooking workshop with Roots & Fruits: Leuven co-founders Maya Parson and Laurel Berzanskis.
We’ll start with a welcome drink and “hapje” (appetizer), learn how to prepare a seasonal pesto from scratch, and finish with a simple but delectable fruit dessert. Bring your appetite and your apron!
When: June 13 & 27, both evenings from 18:30-21:00
Where: Vlierbeekveld Meeting Center
Price: €20/person (payment via bank transfer received 2 days before the event at latest)
Register in advance via Eventbrite only. After registration you will receive details about how to pay. You can transfer €20 to the account mentioned. Refunds will only be possible in extreme circumstances, so double check your calendars before you sign up. (If we haven't received the transfer by the event you will not be able to participate.)

Bio of Workshop Leaders
Laurel Berzanskis and Maya Parson are co-founders of Roots & Fruits. American expats and long-time Leuven area residents, they are enthusiastic promoters of local food. Laurel is an artisanal cheesemaker at the Abdij van Park and Maya is a former food magazine editor, writer, and anthropologist.
